Garbage removal is provided by Waste Management for the City of Rolla.
Residencial Pickup is every Tuesday, Please have totes out by 6:00 am.
Commercial Pickup is Monday & Thursday.

The City of Rolla will collect materials at the Recycling Center on the south side of the city.
The following lists how to separate materials.
ITEMS THAT SHOULD BE PLACED IN YOUR GARBAGE. We will not accept them because we will have to sort them out again and put them in the city garbage.
1.Plastic material including plastic bags
2. Tyvek Envelopes
3. Styrofoam
4. Milk Cartons
5. Waxed boxes
6. Boxes with grease or paint.
ACCEPTABLE CARDBOARD – must be empty, no Styrofoam, or packing materials
All cardboard except items 4, 5 and 6 above.
Pop and beer and cereal and Kleenex type boxes are acceptable Kraft paper bags
NEWSPAPER- NEWSPRINT
Newspaper including the flyers that come with it except nothing wrapped in plastic.
Newsprint- you can identify this because it is porous and looks like newspaper. Paperback books are OK. Place them in the book box.
Magazines
Magazines and similar type glossy paper
Annual Business reports with glossy paper
White Paper
Office type white writing paper, (whole or shredded)
Cash register receipts, white or yellow
White-school notebook type paper
Computer paper including light green ruled
Junk Mail
General material received from the post office except plastic covers must be removed
Manila file folders
Post card stock
White envelopes with/without windows and the contents of the envelopes.
White or colored paper Slick paper and brochures
Hard cover books if the covers are removed
Aluminum Cans – No plastic bottles or containers
Hours: Open 24 hours a day with access code on your monthly utility bill to open the overhead door to access the building.

Minimum Fee - $15
Single Axle - $50
Pickup Load - $25
Tandem Axle - $100
Leaves and Grass clippings - No charge for city residents
Non-residents of the City of Rolla shall pay double the rates above
No White Goods - Stoves, Freezers, Refrigerators, Etc.
Shingles are accepted at double the above rates.
INERT/LANDFILL MATERIALS ACCEPTED:
Grass Clippings, Leaves, Tree Branches, Wood without nails, Asphalt Shingles, Furniture, Mattresses, Sheetrock, Insulation, Etc.
THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ACCEPTED AT THE LANDFILL :
Infectious, Hazardous or Household Waste
Pesticide Containers
Waste Oil & Filters
Batteries
Paint Residue & Paint Cans
Slaughterhouse Waste
Raw Sewer Sludge
Animal Manure
Septic System Pumping
Any waste that the Dept of Env Quality has advised being toxic or having adverse environmental characteristics
Liquids
Ash from Incinerators of Resource Recovery Facilities
Foundry Waste
Asbestos
Oil Field Drilling Mud and related wastes
Petroleum Contaminated Soil, except that generated by the city
If you do not conform to these regulations, you are subject to a $100 fine.
